A River of Dust – Kidquake presentation

Hello, everyone!!

Popping in early this week to announce that the San Francisco Public Library has posted the livestream recordings of Kidquake for K-2nd and 3rd-5th grade audiences on YouTube!! The K-2 was streamed with a live audience (but the audio only captures the speakers), and the 3-5 was recorded online via Zoom because the library closed the day of Diane Feinstein’s funeral, which was just across the plaza at City Hall.

Cheers to the awesome presenters I shared the stage with last Friday, Meera Sriram (A GARDEN IN MY HANDS) and Seina Wedlick (NAMING CEREMONY)!!!

Can you believe all three of us became engineers, and now we write books for kids?! Each of us had only 10 minutes to speak, so it was a race to pack in as much as we could, LOL. Please share with your teacher and librarian friends who may want to play either the K-2 or 3-5 recordings for their classes! Here’s the link for the K-2 presentation.

And here’s the link for 3rd-5th grade presentation, featuring Jorge Cham (Oliver’s Great Big Universe), Angela Dalton (To Boldly Go: How Nichelle Nichols and Star Wars Helped Advance Civil Rights), and Mae Respicio (How to Win a Slime War).
