Taking a little time off from posting until the fall. Thought I’d leave you all with a link to one of the most extraordinary places on earth, the Okavango Delta in Botswana. We camped on top of a truck throughout Botswana, South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia in 1997 for a couple of months. One of these days, I’m going to unearth and scan our photos. But this Wikimedia Commons image will have to do for now.
If you want to know more about the Okavango Delta, please check out this UNESCO world heritage site.
See you in September!
See you then…stay healthy!
You, too!
Take care!
You, too!
Just watched a PBS Nature series in this place! It’s amazing, especially the hippos!
Yes, we had a hippo graze through our campsite one night. I thought it was a large bird in the bush. And then my husband got a flashlight. We high-tailed it to the tent on top of our truck. Don’t want to mess with them.
After watching the program I can see why!
Have a lovely break!
Thank you!
Take care and see you soon. Keep reading, avoiding those germs, and napping whenever time is kind to you.
